For a will to be valid in Georgia the following must occur. The testator (the person making the Will) must be of sound mind and at least 14 years old, the Will must be in writing, the Will must be signed by the Testator, and the Will must be witnessed and signed by two competent witnesses.

The cost of wills varies by state and complexity however one could expect to pay, on average, between $350 & $950 for a will. 

How long does it take to create a will?

Creating a will does not take long. We typically have drafts prepared within a week or two of the initial consultation.

How can I avoid probate?
You can avoid probate by not dying with any assets in your name. this is often accomplished by putting your assets into a trust while you’re alive or provisioning them to pass outside of your will/probate upon death.
